Since buying my avid setup in 2014 i have been fighting to get the three artist panels (control, color and mix) to work properly.

I wanted to buy an avid artist mix + transport but the transport has been discontinued early this year. I feel it's a dying species. Is avid artist mix still worth it?

The artist mix is very compact and fits easily between any monitor and keyboard for easy, portable access. Obviously would rather have an s1 but right now they go for $1300 and aren't on the used market left. This means as of now the artist transport is no longer considered a current avid product and could well also mean no further development for its use will be.

I know s1 is a better product but. I know they were just discontinued so have about 5 years left of support from avid.
